In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating assigned projects managed by Pipeline Services and emergency repair work on all of the Boardwalk Pipeline Systems including natural gas, ethylene, brine and other products.Other duties include estimating projects of varying scopes, exploring alternative designs, obtaining approvals, ordering materials, developing contracts, providing necessary training to inspectors, providing on-site leadership and supervision, securing necessary on site inspectors and required resources, and working with the Area Managers, other Operations personnel, Pipeline Safety, Compliance Services and any other project stakeholder.Construction responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining compliance with DOT and FERC regulations on construction projects, safe installation of facilities, timely completion of projects, assuring proper documentation is completed, accurate project close-out, and adherence to project budgets including monthly forecasting responsibilities.
The position requires a self-driven work ethic that is able to work with minimal supervision and requires the ability to multi-task as the need arises.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
*Strong Work Ethic
*Natural Gas Industry experience
*Good oral and written communication skills
*Ability to read and implement the O & M manual and other compliance documents
*Analytical approach to technical problems
*Sound critical and economic thinking skills
*Ability to maintain good working relationships with governmental and customer counterparts
*Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
*Strong commitment to personal and team safety.
*Able to travel up to 50% of the time
*Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
*High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
*Familiar with DOT 192, DOT 195, FERC, and OSHA regulations
*Experience in estimating project cost
*Ability to read construction drawings, alignment sheets and valve maps
*Construction related or technical degree
