About This Role:We believe people should love what they do – in thisrole, you will be responsible for:The Sr. Program Manager manages the activities of assigned programs to ensuretechnical, cost and scheduling aspects are consistent with program milestones.The Sr. Program Manager supports the SSCProgram Director’s outward focus to the customer and Textron’s internalmanagement with an inward focus on the TMLS SSC team and the execution ofon-time, on-budget, high quality program performance.Responsibilities: Manage the technical, financial, contractual and schedule performance for assigned programsand projects Works to ensure functional organizations execute to the program’s scope of work,budget and schedule in a timely manner. In coordination with Manufacturing, anticipate, plan and implement actions necessary to reduce manufacturing costs, ensure manufacturingquality, and adhere to schedule. Monitor and periodically report on cost, schedule and status of manufacturingimprovement projects and recommend/implement corrective actions as required. In coordination with Supply Chain Management, anticipate,plan and implement actions necessary to ensure product quality, cost/budgets,schedules, technical and contractual performance by subcontractors. Monitor and periodically report on cost, schedule and technical status of projects andrecommend/implement corrective actions as required. Establish effective communications with subcontractors toassure their understanding of key issues, risks, objectives and milestones ofthe program. Participate in subcontractor program reviews asnecessary. Coordinate technical review of supplier proposals Lead/Manage the financial (EVMS) and schedule activities including monthly reports,presentations and CDRLs, headcount activities, critical path monitoring and theQuarterly EAC process. CAM or Super-CAM for program management control accounts. Ensures cost control and cost reduction programs are established and/or maintained andcontract commitments are met. Maintain involvement in all aspects of the capture effort for early problem/issueidentification, recommend and/or seek resolutions for overall team effectiveness. Lead/Manage the program risk management. Lead/Manage the program team response to audits including Joint Surveillance audits,Quality audits, Security audits, and corporate audits. Conduct and prepare presentation for periodic reviews for management and the customerwhich reflect current program status and action plans to resolve variances. Lead efforts to execute company policies and procedures for Pursuit and Capture ofnew business opportunities, including all related Gate Reviews, documentationpricing activities and company approval. Work closely with other Capture Team members to clearly define CustomerProgram, technical requirements inclusive of development and/or implementationof a logical strategy and proposal to capture the opportunity. Lead/coordinate proposals and contract change modification activities with Contract’sManager. Develop requirement’s assignment matrix (RAM) for proposal and ensures BOEs coverentire scope of work. Manage and adhere to project and contractual milestones including budgets for allassigned programs and projects. Ability to coach, mentor, and train pipeline. Acting as the Program Director as requested. Manages other Project/Program Managers supporting the SSC program. Performs other job related duties as assignedby management.
Bachelor’s degree inBusiness, Engineering Sciences or related field.
MBA or Master’sdegree in Sciences preferred.
PMP Certification a plus.
Ten (10)plus years of experience in program management, product development andproduction transition in a highly technical environment.
Experiencewith government contract administration preferred.
Excellentverbal, written and presentation skills.
Understandingof program EVMS/scheduling on large defense programs.
Internal/externalstakeholder management at all levels of the organization.
Independent,excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Priormilitary experience desirable.
Demonstratedability to work well with others in responsible positions at variousorganizational and functional levels to resolve matters of interrelatedresponsibility, while exercising a high degree of tact, objectivity anddiplomacy to obtain program objectives.
Continuouscommunication flow within the Integrated Product Line Team, functionaldepartments and division management.
Proficientin use of MS Office and Project software.
Must beable to obtain US Government Secret clearance.
